New Rules for Foreign Entities in Maryland

Effective October 1, 2009 - When a non-Maryland corporation, LLC, LLP, LP, etc... makes an initial filing with the Maryland State Department of Assessments & Taxation that creates or reactivates an account, that filing must be accompanied by written proof of existence (generally the equivalent of a Certificate of Status) from the home state.
